ESG Automotive - Engineering in the fast lane

Kai Horten becomes new CEO of ESG

Kai Horten succeeds Gerhard Schempp as Chairman of the Board of Management.

F├╝rstenfeldbruck,

Kai Horten was voted as the new Chairman of the Board of Management by the shareholders of ESG Elektroniksystem- und Logistik-GmbH, effective 1 January 2014. He will succeed Gerhard Schempp, who is retiring after fifteen years at the head of the company.

The Chairman of the ESG Shareholders Meeting, Mario Paoli, thanked Gerhard Schempp on behalf of all shareholders for his impressive entrepreneurial record: ‚I would like to thank Gerhard Schempp for his extraordinary and extremely successful contribution. To remain at the head of this company for fifteen years and to develop it – together with the entire ESG team – into one of the leading German system and software providers and a reliable innovation partner for government authorities, the Bundeswehr and the automotive industry, is an achievement that speaks for itself. Gerhard Schempp is handing over a company that is in good order and oriented toward the future, with unique innovative strength, technological expertise and customer service.

I am sure that Kai Horten is just the right business personality to pursue ESG's sustainable course of growth, alongside Götz Graichen, for the good of their military and civilian customers.’
